Designing Sherish: A Private Photo Sharing Experience for Meaningful Connection
Brand Strategy · Concept Development · UX/UI Design · Mobile App Design · Dashboard Design
Sherish was a premium photo storage and sharing app designed for users seeking a private, secure alternative to mainstream public platforms. Unlike traditional cloud storage services, Sherish prioritized privacy, ease of use, and cross-platform syncing, making it an ideal solution for parents, families, and digitally savvy seniors who wanted to preserve and share their most cherished memories.
As the UX/UI designer, I helped shape the app’s user flow, interface, and overall experience, ensuring it met the needs of its target audience while offering seamless navigation and intuitive functionality.
Challenge
Addressing Privacy Concerns – Many users were uncomfortable storing personal photos on public cloud platforms, fearing data breaches or loss of ownership.
Simplifying Photo Management – Users needed a simple, organized, and private way to store, sync, and share their photos across devices.
Creating an Intuitive Experience – The app had to be accessible to a wide range of users, including seniors who may be less familiar with complex tech interfaces.
Experience Vision & Concept Development
Before defining features and interface patterns, the work focused on understanding what Sherish should feel like for families.
The challenge wasn’t simply creating a photo-sharing product — it was designing an experience that supported connection, privacy, and emotional closeness across distance and generations. The product needed to feel intuitive and approachable while reinforcing trust and long-term engagement.
Concept exploration focused on:
Defining moments of connection throughout the experience
Exploring ways to reduce friction around sharing and participation
Establishing interaction patterns that felt simple and emotionally supportive
Balancing usability with privacy and relationship-building goals
Creating a flexible experience framework that could evolve alongside the product
This concept-first approach helped shape onboarding, user flows, interface decisions, and the overall product experience — ensuring the final solution supported both functional needs and meaningful human interaction.

Develop intuitive user flows for mobile applications
Design for a diverse audience, including tech-savvy seniors
Balance branding, functionality, and business goals in an app ecosystem
Sherish showcases how thoughtful UX/UI design can enhance user engagement and retention, making it a valuable addition to my portfolio for future app design and digital experience projects.
