From Matchbook Covers to Sticker Packs

A few months ago I started drawing fictional businesses inspired by vintage matchbook covers. What began as a single illustration turned into a growing collection of roadside attractions, bingo halls, laundromats, pawn shops, bowling alleys, and late-night businesses that feel familiar despite never having existed.

As the collection grew, people started asking the same question:

"Can I buy these as stickers?"

The answer is: maybe.

Before I invest in production, packaging, and fulfillment, I'm exploring a small first run of sticker packs featuring some of the collection's most popular businesses.

The First Sticker Pack

The first pack would likely include:

  • Lucky Rabbit Bingo

  • Golden Horseshoe Pawn

  • Lucky Spin Laundromat

  • Stardust Casino Tours

  • Sunset Bowl

  • Nightcap Liquors

Each sticker is based on an original matchbook cover illustration created as part of the Out of Nowhere collection.

Why Stickers?

Vintage matchbooks were small, affordable pieces of advertising designed to travel. They ended up in pockets, glove compartments, junk drawers, and kitchen counters.

Stickers feel like a modern version of that same idea.

  • Small.

  • Collectible.

  • Portable.

A little piece of roadside Americana you can stick on a sketchbook, laptop, toolbox, water bottle, or travel journal.

What's Next?

If there's enough interest, I'd love to expand the collection with additional fictional businesses, seasonal releases, new sticker sheets, postcard sets, art prints, and other small collectibles.

For now, I'm simply gauging interest before moving into production.

Interested?

If enough people raise their hand, I'll make the first sticker pack happen.
