Custom Wedding Repeat Pattern (One-Color Line Art Illustration System)
Your story. Your elements. Your pattern.
This is a hand-drawn illustration system built from the places, objects, and details that are specific to your wedding — illustrated as individual elements that work together as a seamless repeat pattern. Where a toile tells a continuous narrative story with connected scenes, this is built from curated spot illustrations — eight carefully drawn pieces that stand alone and also work beautifully together across everything from envelope liners to gift wrap.
_______
What This Is
Think of it as a curated collection of hand-drawn illustrations — your venues, your objects, your moments — each one simplified enough to read clearly at any scale, and designed to work together as a seamless repeat. Not clip art. Not generic wedding icons. Drawings that are specific to your story and built to live on real things.

_______
What’s Included
Everything you need to take your pattern from illustration to production.

One-color line art
Seamless repeat pattern (4000 × 4000 px)
High-resolution PNG (transparent background)
Individual PNG files of each illustrated element
Pattern tile + repeat preview
Guidance on how to apply the pattern across your wedding materials
_______
What to Include in Your Pattern
Eight elements sounds like a lot until you start listing things. Keep it curated — the patterns that work best are the ones with intention behind every piece, not everything crammed in.
Good starting points:
Monograms
Florals, cake, and table details
Rings, champagne, or signature drinks
Pets
Meaningful objects or personal references
Your venue
If you're including people: Reference photos are required so I can capture outfit details accurately. No photo, no faces — figures will be illustrated in simplified classic wedding attire.
If you're including a venue: Send a clear, straight-on exterior photo in good natural light with the key architectural details unobstructed. Trees, parked cars, and crowds are the enemy of a good venue illustration.
_______
Color Selection
One color, used consistently across the entire pattern — which is exactly how it's supposed to work.
Classic navy on white is always a safe choice, but you can choose any single color to coordinate with your wedding palette. Not sure what works best for your printing needs? I'm happy to advise.
_______
How It Works
Share Your Details — Tell me what you want in the pattern. Your venues, objects, personal references, pets. Send reference photos for anything location-based — the more specific you are, the better the result.
Sketch & Direction — I map out how your elements will work together as a repeat and share a rough layout for your approval. This is the moment to confirm content before illustration begins.
Final Illustration — Once approved, I hand-draw all eight elements and build the seamless repeat pattern in Adobe Fresco.
Review & Refinement — You'll see the completed pattern and have one round of revisions to dial in the details.
Final Delivery — High-resolution digital files, individual element PNGs, and everything you need to hand off to your printer or stationer.

Additional revision rounds or added elements can be quoted separately.

_______
A Note from the Artist
This product grew out of the same instinct as everything I make — the details that stay with people are always the specific ones. Not the generic. Not the borrowed. The ones that actually belong to the moment.
Each element is hand-drawn in Adobe Fresco, simplified enough to read clearly at any scale, and designed to work together as a system rather than a collection of unrelated pieces.
I'm Kimberly Coles — illustrator, designer, and founder of Happy Monday Creative. I've spent 20+ years helping hospitality brands, destination organizations, and couples tell their stories visually. This is my favorite kind of project.
